Mandaza Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026

This policy applies to Mandaza for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, its widgets, and the standalone MandazaTV app for Apple TV.

Data collection

Mandaza does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data to Luke Steuber or third parties. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-collection SDKs. Patterns are generated on your device.

Photos and exported images

On iPhone and iPad, Mandaza requests permission to add an image to your Photo Library only when you choose to save one. MandazaTV does not request Photos access. Exported images remain under your control.

Microphone

If you enable Music responsivity on a supported device, Mandaza requests microphone access and reduces incoming audio to live sound-level and beat information in memory. Audio is never recorded, stored, uploaded, or shared. MandazaTV does not use the microphone.

On-device settings and app communication

Settings, favorites, recent designs, and review-prompt eligibility are stored locally. The iOS app and its widget extension may share app-owned settings through an Apple App Group container on the device. The paired Watch app may exchange selected settings and user-requested snapshots directly with the iPhone through Apple WatchConnectivity. MandazaTV currently keeps its preferences in local Apple TV system storage. None of these mechanisms sends data to Luke Steuber or third parties.

Retention and deletion

Because Mandaza does not operate an account or collect your data, there is no server-side personal data to retain or delete. You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app. Images saved to Photos can be deleted from the Photos app.

Changes

If Mandaza's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the related feature is released.
